The press speaks of an «earthquake of the heart» because if there is something that Nadja Zela always has in her luggage, it's her glowing voice and electric guitar. Zela is a singer, songwriter and guitarist from Zurich. She has played in lots of formations. Since 2008 she works under her own name and created four studio albums, including the much discussed «Wrong Side of Town», which is strongly influenced by her Delta blues love. Zela has this harsh 60-ies attitude, she's like a tender soul into Dark Folk, sad Soul and Psychedelic Rock that doesn't dig in the drawer of a genre - she's the longer the more a genre herself. In the spring of 2016, Zela released her fourth solo album, "Immaterial World" - a hymn to her new band and a farewell to a time when material seems to be the only lasting value.
Nadja Zela is currently working on her 5th album, which will be about death, dying, grief and comfort.
Whether alone, in duo with her longtime companion on Drum, Martin Fischer, or with 5-piece band – her audience loves her live-heat and narrative songwriting.
