«Silence» – «Vaiven» Art Project Contribution: What is Silence to you?

«When I heard the term SILENCE, I thought of all the people who are SILENCED with or through violence.

In my cineastic track, I commemorate these people by shutting up the instruments: the guitar is taped up with gaffer, the power has been cut, the keys are gated, unamplified, sounding, but mute. The human voice mumbles unrelated phrases that don't hurt anyone but don't say anything either – it is clipped and tortured too. Every now and then a small revolution emerges, a beat parade, a melodic message to the heart … then again: suffocated voices.
